HSVP to Develop New Sectors in 9 Districts of Haryana: Expansion Plan Explained

The Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has announced plans to develop new urban sectors across multiple districts in the state as part of its strategy to boost planned urban growth and meet rising housing demand. According to reports, around 17 new sectors are proposed to be developed across nine districts in Haryana. These districts include Faridabad, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jagadhri (Yamunanagar), Kurukshetra, Panipat, Rohtak, Rewari, and Sonipat. Among these, Faridabad is expected to receive the highest number of new sectors, with five planned developments. Rohtak and Rewari are also set to see significant expansion, with three sectors each. The remaining districts will have one new sector each as part of this initiative. This expansion plan comes in response to the increasing demand for residential and commercial spaces in Haryana s urban areas. By developing new sectors, the authority aims to create well-planned infrastructure, improve housing availability, and support balanced regional growth. One of the key challenges highlighted in the development process is the limited availability of land, which has slowed down the pace of sector expansion in recent years. To address this, authorities are exploring alternative methods of land acquisition and planning to ensure smoother project execution. The development of these sectors is expected to include residential plots, commercial areas, and essential infrastructure such as roads, water supply, and public facilities. HSVP typically allocates residential plots through a structured application and draw system, ensuring transparency in allotment. Overall, the initiative reflects the government s focus on expanding urban infrastructure beyond major cities and promoting planned development in emerging regions. The new sectors are likely to create better housing opportunities, boost real estate activity, and support economic growth across Haryana.
