The Madhya Pradesh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board (MPHIDB), established in 1972 under the MP Home Construction Board Act, is a government entity committed to providing affordable housing and commercial spaces to residents across the state. Operating as a non-profit organization, MPHIDB focuses on constructing and developing housing colonies and commercial complexes, ensuring transparency and ethical dealings with its clientele. Organizational Structure: The governance of MPHIDB is overseen by a Board of Directors comprising: Two legislators A government-appointed chairman Officials from relevant state and federal departments and agencies Two non-official members Housing Initiatives: In its ongoing efforts to address housing needs, the Madhya Pradesh government has introduced several schemes: Mukhyamantri Awas Bhu Adhikar Yojana: This initiative aims to provide plots to families who do not own a home, facilitating affordable housing solutions for the underprivileged. Ladli Behna Housing Scheme 2024: Launched to assist families without their own houses, this scheme opened applications on September 17, 2023, with a deadline of October 5, 2023. The state government anticipates that over 475,000 families will benefit from this program. Key Features of Mukhyamantri Awas Bhu Adhikar Yojana: Objective: To allocate residential plots to landless families, enabling them to construct their own homes. Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must be permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh. Families should not own any residential plot or house. Applicants must fall under the economically weaker section (EWS) category. Required Documents: Aadhaar Card Domicile Certificate Income Certificate Affidavit declaring non-ownership of property Recent passport-sized photographs Application Process: Interested and eligible applicants can apply through the official MPHIDB portal. The process involves filling out an online application form, uploading the necessary documents, and submitting the form for verification. Upon successful verification, eligible beneficiaries will be allotted plots under the scheme. Through these initiatives, the Madhya Pradesh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board continues its mission to provide affordable housing solutions, thereby improving the living standards of its residents.
