The Faridabad Noida Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway is an important road infrastructure project planned to strengthen connectivity across the National Capital Region. The expressway includes: Approximately 28 km in Faridabad Around 20 km in Noida and Greater Noida Nearly 8 km in Ghaziabad The project also includes a bridge over the Yamuna River , which will provide direct connectivity between Faridabad and Noida. Travel Time Reduction One of the main objectives of the expressway is to make travel faster between major NCR cities. Currently, commuters often have to pass through congested routes in Delhi to travel between Faridabad, Noida, and Ghaziabad. After completion, the expressway is expected to reduce travel time significantly. Journeys that currently take over an hour could be completed in about 30 45 minutes , improving daily commuting for thousands of people. Project Status and Timeline The FNG Expressway project was originally proposed decades ago but faced several delays due to land acquisition issues, funding challenges, and coordination between different authorities. However, progress has resumed in recent years. Several stretches in Noida are already developed, while remaining sections are being planned or constructed.
