Suraksha Group Secures RERA Revalidation for Seven Jaypee Infratech Projects in Delhi-NCR

The Suraksha Group-led Jaypee Infratech Ltd (JIL) has successfully obtained RERA re-validation for seven incomplete real estate projects across Delhi-NCR. This move aims to accelerate construction and ensure possession of over 10,000 residential units for long-waiting homebuyers. Jaypee Infratech Projects Receiving RERA Revalidation The following seven projects have been granted RERA re-validation, covering 10,082 residential units of various sizes: Jaypee Greens Klassic - D Jaypee Greens Kosmos - A (Phase II) Jaypee Greens Kosmos - C Jaypee Greens Kensington Boulevard Apartments Jaypee Greens Kasa Isles Jaypee Greens Krescent Homes Pebble Court Suraksha Group s Takeover of Jaypee Infratech In June 2023, Suraksha Group took control of JIL by appointing a three-member board led by Sudhir V Valia, a non-executive director and promoter of the company. The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) had upheld Suraksha Group s bid on May 24, 2023, finalizing the takeover. Under the resolution plan, Suraksha Group was required to pay ₹1,334 crore to Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) as farmers' compensation. The delivery of flats in the seven projects is planned in phases, starting December 2025. Expanding RERA Revalidation & Construction Revival Suraksha Group is currently working to obtain RERA re-validation for additional stalled projects, which will facilitate bank loan approvals for faster construction. The insolvency process for Jaypee Infratech began in August 2017, initiated by an IDBI Bank-led consortium. After years of legal battles, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved Suraksha Group s resolution plan on March 7, 2023. Later, in May 2024, NCLAT gave its final approval for the takeover. Following this decision, Suraksha Group has been securing funds to resume construction on multiple stalled projects, with approximately 20,000 homebuyers awaiting possession. Completing the 160 pending residential towers will require an estimated ₹6,500-7,000 crore investment. Debt Resolution & Future Completion Plans Lenders had previously submitted claims totaling ₹9,783 crore against JIL.
